TechMonx ("we", "us", "our") is a technology studio based in Glasgow, Scotland. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and how it is handled.
What we collect
We collect information you choose to give us directly, through the contact form, the "Book a Meeting" widget, or the TechMonx Assistant chat widget on this site. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number if provided, and the details of your enquiry.
- Contact form: first name, last name, email address, service of interest, and project details.
- Book a Meeting: name, email address, and your preferred date/time and notes.
- TechMonx Assistant chat: your email address and the message you send.
Separately, if you consent to analytics cookies via our cookie banner, we also collect anonymous, aggregate usage data through Google Analytics 4, see "Analytics" below. We do not use cookies to track you for advertising purposes, and we do not embed third-party advertising trackers on this site.
Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use this site: which pages are viewed, which links and buttons are clicked, and general usage patterns. GA4 is only loaded, and no analytics cookie is set, after you actively accept analytics cookies via the banner or the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.
Legal basis: your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and PECR regulation 6). You may withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie Settings", with immediate effect going forward.
What's collected: page views, service and portfolio/project page views, clicks on key calls to action (e.g. "Start a Project", "Let's Talk"), booking-widget opens and completed booking requests, contact-form and chat submissions (event only, not the message content), phone and email link clicks, and outbound social media clicks. We configure GA4 with IP anonymisation and disable Google Signals and ads personalisation. We never send names, email addresses, phone numbers, form/message content, or any other directly identifying information as analytics data.
Retention: the underlying browser cookies (_ga, _ga_<container-id>) persist for up to 13 months; event and user-level data held within Google Analytics itself is retained for 14 months (GA4's default setting) before automatic deletion. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.
Data processor: Google Ireland Limited processes this data on our behalf as part of the Google Analytics service; see Google's own privacy policy for how they handle it.
How we use it
We use the information you submit solely to respond to your enquiry, schedule a requested meeting, or provide the service you've asked about. Analytics data is used only in aggregate, to understand and improve the site. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
How it's delivered and stored
Submissions from this site are sent by email to our team inbox (info@techmonx.co.uk), hosted with our email provider. We retain enquiry correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to handle your enquiry and maintain business records, and no longer than necessary.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, request a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to or restrict how we use it. This includes withdrawing analytics consent at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@techmonx.co.uk.
Third parties
We use standard web hosting and email infrastructure to operate this site and receive enquiries, and, where you've consented, Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage. We do not embed third-party advertising trackers on this site.
